Furlough Friday 4 of 5

Why do Furlough Friday's go so fast? I woke up at 6am this morning -- yes, on my day off (GAH!!) -- and it's already nearly 3pm. Where on earth did the time go? And what have I done with myself today?

I certainly haven't been camera-happy these past couple weeks. Heck, I haven't even cleared the February memory stick to make room for March pictures. So therefore, I really have no pictures to share. But I'm bumming that I didn't take a picture of our yard last Sunday so I could take another one today and show off the fact that in five days, we lost, like, 12+ inches of snow!! It's been consistently in the high 50's and low 60's this week. Then the rain came in Wednesday and took care of what snow hadn't melted by that point. Other than large snowbanks made by the plows, the ground is now all clear. Too bad it's barely mid-March and probably won't stay that way, though I tend to doubt we'll see several inches at one time again this year (*crossing fingers and knocking on wood*).

As for Little Dude, he's enjoying Furlough Friday with Mommy. I had a chiropractor appointment this morning so he came with me for that (my chiro has a toy area in his office, which is mostly used by one or more of his 27 grandchildren, but occasionally by patients' children too, hee hee!). In the car on the way there, I tried to get Sean to say "chiropractor." It came out, "cryo-quapper" HAHAHA! It's fun making 2-year olds say things.

And now for a Sean funny:

The other day, Sean & I got home from work/daycare and before we even had our jackets off, he ran into the livingroom. I went in after him to take his coat off and noticed he's chewing.

Well, I hadn't given him any food so I was about to ask him what he was eating when he looked at me with a big grin and said, "Good chip, Mommy!"

??????? Chip ???????? What chip ????????

So I asked, "Sean, what are you eating?!"

"Good chip, Mommy," and he keeps chewing.

I tried to get him to open his mouth, but by the time he did, whatever it was, was gone. He just kept repeating, "Good chip, Mommy."

I have no clue what he ate that day, but all I could do was hope it was, in fact, a chip (or eat least a remnant of some kind of food... I shudder to think....).
