Home again, home again, jiggity jog.

The plane ride from Orlando to Detroit was smooth for the most part (a few bumps here & there but nothing that had me white-knuckling the armrests of my seat). In fact, Sean didn't even make it to takeoff. Once we were taxiing, he leaned to the side and as much as he tried to fight it, he passed out cold before we were off the ground. And I must admit, as much as I hate to fly, I was a lot less scared on the flight yesterday than I was in the car from Detroit to home. The weather sucked! Snow, slush, idiot drivers, and an overturned semi on the eastbound side of the expressway that had everyone on the westbound side stopping to gawk. Ugh! It took us about 20-30 minutes longer to get home than it should've, but the important thing is that we all made it back to our houses, safe & sound.

I hated leaving Orlando, definitely, but there really is a lot to be said for setting foot back in your own house after being gone five days. Seeing your own kitties. Using your own bathroom. Sleeping in your own bed. Sean went to bed at 8pm last night and we didn't hear from him again till about 7:30am. Dan fell asleep around 8:30pm and I fell asleep about 9:30 and we both slept till 7:30 when Sean woke up. And truth be told, I could easily fall back asleep right now. It's rough, this vacation recovery.

I did want to show off a few additional pictures we had taken down there that I had to scan in:

We had this done at Magic Kingdom at Mr. Dan's request. They were going to morph my head onto Natalie Portman's body for this pic, but they realized I was smokin' hot so those are my own abs. Scouts honor *hee hee*.

Here are a couple of pictures of Sean & I feeding the dolphins that were taken by the SeaWorld photographers. They got a better angle.

Thanks for the note on my blog. It always is so encouraging to hear other people's success stories. It is why I started blogging! It keeps me hopeful to see there is light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Thanks again.
