We had a wonderful visit with F, J, S, and E (Dan's brother, SIL, and nephews for those who are wondering who I'm talking about) on Monday evening and Tuesday. We didn't do much of anything in particular, but we thoroughly enjoyed the company. And Sean had way much fun with his cousin S.
We intended to go to a local studio and have portraits taken on Tuesday, but E decided a nap sounded better, so we opted to let him sleep. While they camped out at their hotel (hard telling when E was going to wake up), Dan, Sean and I hung around the house, played outside, and enjoyed a McDonalds picnic in the backyard for lunch.
By the time E woke up and they made it to our house, Sean was down for his nap. So we all just visited while Sean slept. After Sean's nap we tried to go to the zoo. But unfortunately, because of a free admission event going on, we could barely get near the zoo, let alone inside it (wow, eerily reminiscent of last week's Childrens' Museum fiasco except this time, at least we knew where we were). Sometimes, even free isn't worth it.
So we scrapped the zoo. went to the local childrens' museum for 1/2 hour till they closed, then went home.
Tuesday evening was great though! Sean & his cousin S were extremely entertaining to watch! They would run and scream and giggle (and giggle and giggle and giggle...). What one boy did, the other had to do too. Didn't work out so well at meal time -- I don't think either of them ate much, if anything. But I have zero doubt they had a blast!
Overall it was awesome to see them again and meet Baby E. My hope is to take a trip to visit them sometime in November but the trick is going to be whether or not Daddy can get the time off work.
(I uploaded pictures to the photo site from our visit. I also put all the pictures from the Indianapolis trip into a separate folder within the July album so you don't have to go through all those to get to the newer pics)
