Dan & I had been having the discussion for quite some time. But this weekend, we made a decision:

Simone -- my kitty girl -- needed to go live elsewhere. It wasn't an easy decision by any stretch, but certainly the most logical one. She needed to be an only kitty, as she just does not get along with Luther, Cooper, and Darla. Even after all these years. She was waking us up in the night with her growling and hissing and snarling and screaming at the other cats, and I bet money she was waking Sean up too. Another cat couldn't even walk into the same room as she was in without her getting all territorial.

But, it's not like we'll never see or hear from her again. She's living with my Mom now (truthfully, it's the only way I would've let her go -- if Mom couldn't take her, she'd still be here. Period.). Now she's an only kitty with run of the house. She will be well cared-for, and dare I say, spoiled. Mom says she's changing Simone's name to Moses because she's gonna think she found the promise land. Hahaha!
Anyway, after we got her into the carrier, we set her in the kitchen so I could grab a few more things before taking her to Mom's on Sunday. When I walked back into the kitchen, I found Sean talking to her:

Saying g'bye, I imagine.

Surprisingly, I'm not as sad as I thought I'd be. Probably because I know she's not far away. And in the long run, I know this is going to be easier on everyone.

Tonight, a guy Dan knows stopped over to give him some advice on piping the upstairs for heat & air (YAY!!! -- No, we currently do not have heat or air upstairs. Winter isn't too bad because heat rises. But summer? Summer is a different story with temperatures reaching 87-88 degrees up there when it gets particularly warm outside). Anyway, this guy drives a big yellow hummer, and he was nice enough to let Sean sit in the drivers seat for some photos.

A few more pics are in the photo album. Sean was very excited that he got to sit in the big "kuck."

I love the pic of Sean looking in at the kitty saying goodbye. I'm glad that your kitty has a new home...and that YOUR home will be nice and cool soon :)
